Must be able to cover Third Shift supervisor for vacations (Aproximatelly 3-4 weeks per year) 8pm-4am
Has general responsibility for coordinating all warehouse activities on a shift basis. Responsible for leading or supervising the receiving, storage and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Responsibilities:
Labor Management: Help establish schedules. Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are completed properly.
Operations: Supervise checking and unloading or inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, picking, and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with high levels of productivity. Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all products are properly counted.
Quality: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are complete and free of damage.
Documentation/Records: complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
Inventory: Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Maintain product locator system. Ensure the optimal utilization of space. Rotate product as appropriate.
Equipment: Ensure the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment.
Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining warehouse security. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Communications: attend warehouse planning meetings. Act as liaison between employees and management. Communicate industry and brand knowledge to associates.
a. High School Diploma and at least 2-4 years of experience in related field. b. Knowledge/skills: requires good supervisory and communication skills. Familiarity with computers and material handling equipment is essential. Able to drive results. First Shift Warehouse Supervisor c. Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods. Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper techniques to lift 50 pounds. Familiarity with MHE is required. Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Must be able to shift priorities easily. Must know Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word. d. Special requirements: must have excellent work habits and pass any pre-employment tests.
