Des Plaines, IL. – The International Warehouse Logistics Association welcomed John F. Tighe, II, president, Tighe Logistics Group, to the 2013-2014 IWLA Board of Directors during the 2013 IWLA Convention & Expo.

Tighe serves on the IWLA Board of Directors as the IWLA Rail Council Co-chairman and IWLA Insurance & Legal Committee Board Liaison.

Tighe is a fourth-generation president and CEO of Woburn, Mass.-based, Tighe Logistics Group. A 1986 graduate of the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire, Tighe earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics.

Tighe is also a WERC member and a member of the board of directors for the Massachusetts Motor Truck Association.

In his new roles on the IWLA Rail Council and IWLA Insurance & Legal Committee, Tighe will lead the charge on current and recurring issues for warehousing professionals – developing best practices and sharing ideas for improvements to the pressing concerns for the benefit of IWLA members – leaders in warehouse- based third-party logistics organizations.

Tighe resides in North Reading, Mass., with his wife Alane and two children, Alexandra and Andrew.
